Not up to expectation

It's the end of the first semester, and I've gotten my GPA it's like 3.14.. argh it sucks I know right? It's because of not enough experience exposing to those cameras and due to my very "good" English standard. Creative story telling module, a very nice teacher give me a D+ grafe. THANK YOU SOOOO much *sense the amount of sarcasm* He said he will not focus too much on English grammar.  Well total bullshit man. :/ 
Next.
Camera and lighting, location sound. Very disappointed to get C+ grade for both. I have no rights to blame anyone for this because my groupmates were also a first timer to those confusing technical gadgets.
But I'm so happy that I got an A for both design fundamentals and Video editing. Thank God design fundamentals weigh the highest percentage in this semester which helped my GPA by quite a lot. YAYY!!  

I promise to work harder the next sem. JIA YOU CHA CHA CHA! 

1st Ice Skating together XOXO

Hey yo! This is our first trip to ice skating together as SJY. It was on a promotion It's been a long time ever since we get into our own poly. Studies... Assignments... Projects... Busy busy busy. 

Initially we wanted to go last Friday however due to the late ending of lesson we didn't manage to catch the last second slot 7:30pm. Bruhhh We travel all the way to the west (Jcube) just for this, ended up only a dinner at subway and we go back home. Haizzz...

We planned nicely this time round, and yeah there we go we got our slot. woohoo! 

It was really hard to control in the first place, since it's the first time, since this was our first attempt, for Jamie, no. Ironically she fell so many times. Erm.. not really just 4.

And Yee Ching fell once. For me, ZERO muhahahaha. We got scared after a few times when Jamie fell, because everytime we hold her hands she will slide and fall on her BUTT! Sometimes I almost lost my balance due to her falling. LOL! 

And of course not forgetting stupid people do stupid stuffs. When I skated towards Yee Ching I stopped by grabbing her shoulder adn twirl around her. LMAO! We astarted to make videos and once bump into one person who can't really skate. Woops! XD

Not forgetting once in a life time experience must take photo!

I got one blister on my ankle after the activity, not worth it hahah! 

And yeah! That sums up our first outing in 2015 as SJY. Hoping next time the other two dude would join us. :/

P.S: Jamie's butt is all wet, thankfully she brought an extra pants. XD She said "I anticipated that I will fall"

It's a new start! :)

As you all know, I got posted to Temasek Polytechnic, Digital Film & Television. And yes!!! FOC (Freshman orientation camp) It was a memorable one! It marks the start of my poly life! Design School won the BEST SPIRITED AWARD!!  WOOHOO!! Thanks GLs for the months of preparation for this DOC (Design Orientation Camp). Wasn't you cool peeps we wouldn't have enjoyed so much and definitely not regretting coming to design school, joining this ONE BIG AWESOME FAMILY! Our 5 mins cheer was definitely the coolest of all!! It was the longest cheer I've ever had until now! Here It goes:

My First Film (Day 2)

Yay! Day 2 of filming! Day 1 we had 2 missing shots so we added the shots on Day 2!

Disaster came... The previous night my dad told he had charged the video camera. I trusted him so much and I grabbed the video camera and went off to meet my casts. 

When we arrived at the filming location, I realised the battery was half gone. Oh dear, my friends asked me if I brought the charger. When I was at home I thought it's unnecessary to bring it along with me since my dad had charged fully. Without much delay since we can't changed what had happen, we tried to film as much as we can. About finishing a few scenes, the battery went dead. I was super worried and I promised to get it done within 2 days. My casts suggested to use one of our mates iPhone 6 plus to film. Without further hesitation, I used it to finish filming. It was really double trouble day, thankfully after finishing our film the phone storage got insufficient. Funny right? The credits part we used our another mate's iPod to film.

In total we used 3 devices to film this short 4 minutes comedy film. WOW impressive isn't it. Thanks for my friends' understanding. They didn't blame me at all, at most... #facepalm. Thanks to all my friends once again for helping me to finish my first film in my life. Love you all so much! XOXO

My First Film (Day 1)

Hey readers, have you watched my first short comedy film? It's about some of my secondary school life. I had really good time filming with my friends who helped me. The purpose I'm doing this film is because I was hoping that this film will get me into the course I want for the next stop of my education. It's Digital Film & Television from Temasek Polytechnic. Well... We spent 2 days to finish the whole film. Of course some tripping stones in between. 

In the beginning, it was rather tough for me as I didn't have any experience at all. Close to zero knowledge about filming, my film buddy Russell Goh who helped me and generous enough to share his knowledge as he went film studies before. Telling me what he had not done well, and the power when controlling his casts.

Secondly, the venue, I was thinking to film in my ex-school. Unfortunately, the principal only allowed us to film one day, which is totally impossible. Therefore I was really worried that I could not get through the interview of JPSAE (Joint Poly Admission Exercise) without a film to present. But I was fortunate enough that one of my cast helped me to think of a solution. Tuition Centre! Thanks to the person in-charge, they are very willing to lend us their place to film. Thank Goodness! 

Moving On! Then after, the venue is already set. But the cast (my friends) are unable to schedule their timings, there were some conflict in between, like some were unable to go for meeting. No choice, I have to substitute some of them to others. Thankfully some of my other friends are very willing to help me. There! The first day of filming, ended quite smoothly.

The moment...

Thump thump thump. O.M.G! Taking O level results was just so breathtaking. My heart skipped not one, not two but three beats. I've been thinking for the whole time what if I failed my English language, the only place I could go was either engineering school, or design school. Although my dream course is in design school but the English language requirement grade was C6. I have to get C6 I prayed.

When I stepped into the school, I didn't care that I'm taking my results in 1 hour time. Rather, when I saw all my friends I was so so so happy. So I told them " shush shush, we must prepare our mood, so can't be too happy now." Yea it's funny I know.

Proceeded on to the hall, so currently at that moment I've already know I will definitely not go JC even how good my results are. There's this man from Nan Yang JC distributing some brochures and wanted to promote NYJC. He approached us and I told him straight "we're going poly". He stunned and he was like"you sure" and of course, I said yea!

The principle talk was long, everyone was super anxious, Jamie cried, I didn't get to sit near Yee Ching because her class was the furthest away from me. I tried to convince Jamie that her results would come out good, but deep in my heart I was super nervous but not to the point of crying. Strong uh?

The Moment...

The all year fear was not passing my English. Thus when it's my turn to take my results, I stopped in front of my teacher. Don't dare to go towards the table. "Wait! Ms Nora, did I pass my english?" she's like " yeah?" I can't believe! I was so happy I shouted I screamed I jumped not caring the grades of other subjects I took my cert and jumped all the way back. All my classmates looked at me, their facial expression be like " she crazy ah?" XD

Although my English got a C6, I'm already pretty glad. I got in total of 16 points minus 2 (CCA points) so yea 14 points. YES! I can get into my course! Woohoo! 

Praise the Lord

   

  

Dance ROD

Finally ROD! (relieve of duty) I'm so happy. I waited for like 4 years and finally it's our turn! All my juniors had SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) practices so therefore they postponed ROD to this year. All the best juniors I believe you all can achieve certificate of Distinction. ^^

Yee Ching and I walked to school and we saw some of our juniors carrying big bags of groceries so we intended to help them. LOL! It's like our ROD and we have to help them. This is call team work. LOL!

Next up. So we proceed on in... 

I was so touched, to the point of almost tearing. Hehe XD

So we have food and games organised by all my juniors.

Somehow disappointed because one of my junior came to us and told us a lot of happenings during dance rehearsals. In addition, she told us one of our junior is in hospital, she got leukemia, it was really really sad to hear. She's a very nice girl, why must it be her. We had dance collaboration before, she has a very willing to learn attitude. Hope she's okay... :( prayers...
